Work.  Play.  Shoot.  The new studio is ready for action!

EHP moved out of our sweet & humble little {Lake Oswego} home office and set up shop in the Pearl District of Portland, OR. Can you believe we made the move in March and I’m just now getting around to posting pictures?  Well, that’s because everything FINALLY came together this past weekend!  It’s been months of researching design inspiration, spending way to much time on Pinterest, and making a few {more than necessary} trips to Home Goods – but it was totally worth it!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new studio :)

Above is an overview of EHP world headquarters.

Below, our vintage dresser display doubles as a packaging station and desk for future intern.  Everything needs to be multi-functional when you’re only talking about 120 sq feet ;)

I adore this green blanket and want to wrap all of my couples and babies up in its soft yumminess!

Set #1  Client meeting area?  When they visit.  But really, this set is calling all sexy Femme Fatales!  Pictures of our lifestyle boudoir will post soon ;)

3 of my all-time FAVORITE books: Hotel Lachapelle, NUDE’s & Femme Fatale (Photography by Michael Thompson)… Inspiration!

It’s all about warmth & texture.  Can you see it?!

Set #2.  THINK: The Nines :)

Pleated lamp shades & jules. YES please!

I’m really quite surprised that I LOVE this Ikea rug as much as I do. For $20, it totally makes this little set!

The work bench. Until EHP has a studio mgr, THIS is where I’ll be spending most of my time. Thank goodness for Pandora and Vampire Weekend radio!

I found a litle vintage bit of LA at an estate sale just around the corner. I was happy to give it a home.

I’d LOVE to hear about what you all think of our little EHP World Headquarters :)  If we can envision it, we can capture it!  HERE!  This space is perfect for all the loveliness I like to photograph: indoor engagement sessions & family portraits, newborn pictures, senior pictures and Lifestyle Boudoir.  We will be test shooting over the next month and bringing our visions to life.  Check back!  Better yet, stop by :)

maegan + ryan = in love.  engaged.  & tying the knot!

Maegan and Ryan are two of the cutest love birds I’ve had the pleasure to meet and photograph this year.  They are beautiful people {inside and out} and simply adore each other.  I adore that!

Their love story  relates to a little fairytale come true.. for them & their sweet mamas!  Their parents met while traveling and quickly became great friends & travel buddies.   Next thing you know, they’re planning innocent introductions amongst the single kids!  Isn’t that a parents dream?  To LOVE the in-laws!  I’m pretty sure most parents secretly hope to set their kids up with their friends kids – ensuring a future of  fond family memories.   I’m almost certain mine did ;)  So when Maegan and Ryan met, they fell in love and are proving their parents a match making success!

With everyone sharing a love for good wine, we were excited to start the afternoon amongst the lush, sun drenched vineyards of Oswego Hills Winery.

This was the perfect backdrop for the smiles they have and the chemistry they share.

After rocking their pictures at Owswego Hills, we jetted across the street to Luscher Farms for more sun drenched rustic yumminess.

I LOVEEEEEE her dresses, WANT those shoes and BELIEVE every couple in love should kiss like that!!

Maegan & Ryan are getting married this September at The Oregon Golf Club in West Linn.  To say I’m excited about their wedding is an understatement.  I’m so looking forward to meeting the fun-filled group of family & friends I keep hearing about and to capture more of their beautiful chemistry as they tie the knot!!  Click HERE for their gorgeous wedding pictures! x0x0

I love family portraits in the park.  And I loved meeting this little 1 year old (plus a couple months!) cutie!  Following her around was a definite work out.  Toddlers may not move with lightning speed, but they’re constantly on the go.  Like little lookie-loo’s… from one minute to the next, there’s always something to capture their attention :)  And there I was – ready to capture those captivated eyes.  Oh I just LOVE them!!

Here are three of my ultimate favorite expressions captured from their session…

What play date in the park is complete without a trip down the slide – on moms lap?!  And then a stroll in dads arms :)

Ahh-ha.  Gotcha.  But only for the second she stood still.  With a soccer player for a dad, I can only imagine she’ll have him running off the field too!

Jessica, it was such a pleasure meeting you and your sweet family!

OK, everyone knows I’m engaged.. and this engaged gal is definitely waiting until she walks down the isle [plus some!] before starting a family -

BUT, staring at this OH-SO-Gorgeous and in-love family is making me want my own little cutiepatuties!!

It’s always a pleasure.  But.  Really.  It was such a pleasure meeting the Hefley family just a few weeks ago.  It’s the kind of connection they have, and the desire to [just simply] want to be around one another, that I love capturing.  It’s why I photograph families :) Insert heart here!  Heading to the park for a jaunt of lifestyle photography (aka: family portraits) doesn’t necessarily mean zipping down the slides.  Sometimes the park just offers an opportunity to relax, have fun and be yourselves.  Like our kids.  Like we did when we were kids.  We took that opportunity and ran with it.  I’m in love with what we captured!

Polka dots.  Flowers. Joy. AND those Eyes!

All three have beautiful smiles and spirits to match.
